One of the most under appreciated forms of exercise is plyometric training. In a way, this is a good thing because if you are a competitive athlete, this type of training will give you an enormous edge over your competitors. Without a doubt, there are very few exercise programs that are as effective as plyometric training in terms of its ability to enhance and develop speed and explosiveness in movement. Actually, even if you are not a competitive athlete you can still benefit from a plyometric exercise program. Plyometric training is simply exercises involving jumping in order to enhance certain muscle developments of speed and explosiveness. It is also important to listen to your body when you exercise. If you notice your knees becoming achy, take a break. Do not push yourself more than you are capable and allow your body time to recuperate. This will ensure your plyometric training is safe and effective.

Sneakiest Trick That Will Beat the Fat Loss Plateau

I had a training partner once that always snuck on more weight on the bar. For example, when I plan on doing 210 lbs for 7 repetitions, he would slap on an extra 10 (220). The big thing is I end up doing it just as easily as I was doing 210. The point to his dirty trick was my partner knew that I was stronger then I let myself think. If planned on doing this at home make sure you have a spotter.

How exactly do you receive any benefit from this little trick? You can get a benefit from this trick in 2 different ways.

1. You have to change you mindset and self image.

If you have the problem where you are stuck on a plateau within your workout and arent getting the results youre looking for and is brainwashed that youre supposed to be fat and wont ever lose weight or build the muscle your craving, youre not going to get anywhere.

Tell yourself that you are meant to burn the fat and gain the muscle instead of doing that. Believe what you tell yourself so you develop a good mindset. Imagine getting a bunch of clothes for your hot, new physic or going to the beach and showing off your body.

Here is an awesome example of a good fat burning mindset shift mentioned by someone I know.

Eating yesterday went pretty good. I resisted a plate of fries and didnt even try to order a burger I usually get. I used the mindset change and I am overall a healthy person. Being healthy doesnt involve eating greasy beef burgers and fries.

They grab a turkey sandwich with veggies which is low in fat and has a lot of protein. Thats the kind of sandwich I love. Develop a strong mindset and resisting fatty foods wont be a problem.

2. Break a new record every time in your workouts

Your body only changes by improvement and adding weight to your workout. My partners trick made sure that I was improving within my fat loss and muscle building and gave me guaranteed results.

So about your fat loss workout, pick an area that you can/want to improve on in each workout. Whether its just one more repetition, quicker intervals or 5-10 pounds added in your workout. Break a new record every time and youll easily beat the plateau effect. Train hard for performance, the fat burning and muscle building will follow.

Visualization:- Using visualization to develop mindpower involves closing your eyes and imagining what you want to happen. Your subconscious mind reacts strongly to pictures. Visualize yourself being successful. Imagine yourself will everything you have ever dreamed of! Visualize that new house, that new car. You can even make a scrapbook beforehand containing pictures of everything you want to manifest to help you focus. Visualize consistently and it really will appear in your life.

And you can also visualize yourself having psychic powers. Visualize yourself communicating using telepathy. See yourself being able to see into the future, or view remotely. Using mindpower whatever you want to happen will.

Hypnosis:- Hypnosis is a very effective means of boosting mindpower through communicating with the subconscious. You can work with a professional hypnotherapist who will place you into a state of deep relaxation and then supply suggestions to your subconscious mind which it will begin to work on once you wake up from your trance.

The Danger With Hypertension

High Blood Pressure is known to be dangerous. If you are running or exercising your Blood Pressure will rise, but once you have stopped the exercise and your body has had a chance to calm down then your Blood Pressure will go back down.

There is a thing called white coat syndrome that can cause our bp to go up and this can happen when we visit our doctor.

If your BP is higher than normal then your Doctor should test it regularly over the next month. If your BP is high at every test the Doctor does then that means you may have Hypertension and the Doctor will discuss with you what your options are to get your BP back to normal.

The first thing to do if you are Hypertensive is to see if you can make some changes to how you live your life, you can start to choose healthier options in your life. This will hoefully result in your Blood Pressure falling into the normal range and therefore you will avoid having to go onto medication to do it for you.

Now according to an article I recently read on the Internet what I have written above is a load Rubbish as our BP changes constantly (I accept that) and that consistent High Blood Pressure can be a sign of a problem (I accept that), But he then says that lowering Blood Pressure with medication does not do any good and if the Doctor can’t find a reason for the High BP then that is what is normal for the individual.

Would you believe a Pharmacist wrote that and something I found very weird is that he hates the companies that make the drugs. I believe that more drugs are dished out than need be and why is that, probably because of the amount of money involved.

I don’t agree with the fact that if a reason can’t be found for having Blood pressure Higher than the normal range then it is the right pressure for you. I find that complete madness and I hope that anybody who reads his article does not take that as gospel.

If you are Hypertensive and you can’t get your Blood Pressure back to normal naturally, then it will need treating. If it is not treated then you could suffer from a stroke or heart attack or problems with your kidneys. Get Hypertension sorted.

Reishi Extract – A Traditional Chinese Medicinal Mushroom

Reishi is the most searched medicinal mushroom on the Internet, used in China for at least two millennia as a panacea to alleviate things from everyday nuisances like the common cold or skin disorders to terminal conditions such as cancer.

Working with cancer research at the Linus Pauling Institute of Science & Medicine is Dr. Fukumi Morishige, a strong proponent for the use of reishi in cancer treatment.

Below follows seven cases described by Dr. Morishige during a speech, later reprinted in the publication, Chinese Traditional Medicine Part III.

Being a native of Japan, Dr. Morishige was familiar with reishi before becoming aware of its potential in cancer treatment. But his attitude was essentially the same as any other trained medical professional. He believed it might have some marginal effect on certain non-terminal conditions but dismissed any claims regarding cancer as exaggerated. That is, until two of his cancer patients related their stories of using reishi to self-remediate their conditions.

The first case he encountered was a woman in her late 30’s with lung cancer. A number of hospitals had told her the cancer was too advanced to be treatable. There had also been secondary complications in the form of edema of the chest. However, when she came to see Dr. Morishige half a year later, all those symptoms had disappeared. The woman insisted her recovery had come as a result of 4 gm of reishi administered daily by her husband.

Next was a young boy with congenital liver cancer. At five years of age, his doctor had told his parents the cancer was terminal and subsequently discontinued treatment. Four years later, the parents took their son to see Dr. Morishige, who was no longer able to find any traces of the cancer. The boy’s parents told Dr. Morishige they’d been administering reishi to their son via his naso-gastric feeding tube. It was after this that Dr. Morishige decided to take a closer look at reishi’s effect on cancer.

Listed below are five of Dr. Morishige’s cases. Reishi and Vitamin C (for side effects) was used:

Case 1: A 70-year-old male patient who had lost consciousness due to a 5 cm (2 in.) brain tumor was administered 6 gm of reishi per day starting in June of 1986. By September, he had regained consciousness. He continued to take reishi orally after regaining consciousness, now 3 gm/day. By December of that same year, brain scans showed the tumor had diminished in size. Once the size of the tumor had been reduced to 1 cm, the patient was released from the hospital and returned to live with his family.

Case 2: A 50+ female with metastatic lung cancer and hemoptysis (coughing up blood) began a regimen of 6 gm/day of reishi. Six months later, the tumor had disappeared. And whereas before she had experienced severe shortness of breath, she could now effortlessly climb stairs.

Case 3: A woman with breast cancer and metastatic bone cancer suffered excruciating pain and an inability to move below the neck. Dr. Morishige started her out on 9 gm/day of reishi and then increased it to 20 gm/day. In two months, the patient was free from pain, able to walk, and was released from the hospital.

Case 4: A male patient with rectal cancer and liver metastasis began using 6 gm of reishi per day. After six months, CT scans showed diminished tumor size and patient demonstrated improved general health.

Case 5: A patient with pancreatic cancer and short life prognosis was put on 9 grams of reishi per day, orally, and 30 grams of Vitamin C, intravenously. Twelve months later, he reported that he longer experienced any symptoms and was back to work. He said he’d continued taking 5 grams per day of reishi after leaving the hospital.

Can My Fear Of Panic Attacks Be Cured?

I’m sure this is the one thought that is constantly in your mind if you suffer from panic attacks. They are an incredibly frightening experience. The feeling of being out of control and powerless in this situation can leave you scared and vunerable.

The sheer force with which a panic attack can hit you with can leave you totally debilitated. It can happen at any time and for no apparent reason.

It is very difficult to block out the fear of panic attacks as you know what to expect if you have already experienced one. But panic attacks are very common. As many as 10% of the population can be affected in a single year.

Panic attacks for some people are something to fear on an ongoing basis, they might suffer one a week or it can equally be that an attack can just come out of the blue once, if you are under some serious stress.

A small number of people will go on to develope panic disorder, characterised by the ongoing occurrence of unexpected and severe panic attacks along with high levels of anxiety and fear of fear itself, the panic attack, if that makes sense.

It can be extremely hard to break out of the cycle of fear of panic attacks but this is what must be done in order for you to get back to a normal life. Panic attacks can end as quickly as they began for some but others may need to seek help.

While your lifestyle might not be the cause of your panic attacks, it can contribute to the amount of stress you are under. It is important to get the balance right and not put yourself under too much pressure. Try and have a good look at how you can improve things for yourself.

It will help you greatly to understand where your fear of panic attacks comes from – once you understand that, it will take away some of the fear attached to attacks. Reassure yourself that you will be rid of attacks at some stage and can get back to a normal daily routine.

Table Tennis Is An Extremely Intricate Sport

Ping pong is a game that is commonly played in garages and most people play a casual game every once in a while. However, the better you get at it, the more complex the game will become and the more exercise you will get. If you watch any televised table tennis match between really good players, you will see them starting to perspire as the match goes on. Table Tennis may not look that strenuous but once you start playing and progress to better levels you will find it is a great challenge and work out!

To the beginner player, ping pong appears to be a simple sport. After all, you have a table, a net, and a couple of paddles that you use to bat a ball back and forth. There is not much to that, right? It may seem that table tennis is and easy game but for the player who takes the time to become advanced, it can be extremely hard. The top players all spend many hours every day practicing and treat it as a job in terms of the time they devote to it.

Table tennis rackets or paddles are the player’s only weapon and you can spend hundreds of dollars on some of the better ones. Tournament players all have their paddles custom made with special rubbers that are all specific to their type of play. Table tennis is so much more that just hitting a ball back and forth over a net and the variety of paddles and rubbers leads to different levels of ability.

The top table tennis players all vary their play and disguise their shots by putting a variety of spins on the ball. They all have thousands of hours and years of practice to get to that level. They also have the expensive paddles which are made just for their style of play. Table tennis also requires you to have extremely fast reflexes and excellent hand eye coordination while being very fit. The next time you see a ping pong match on TV, between two top players, pause a while to soak in all the talent that is on display.

Getting better at table tennis can depend on whether you have someone to practice with. Piing pong is a two person sport and you cannot practice by yourself. You need someone of equal or better ability so that you can practice effectively and get better. If you can’t find someone that can challenge you, it is very difficult to progress beyond a certain level. This makes it smart to join a league or club where you can find others to play with. So, the next time you see a ping pong match on TV between two top players, pause a while to soak in all the talent that is on display.
