I’m Getting Fat – Time to Stop Getting Bigger Today

Portion control, lower calorie foods, more exercise. These are all things that you need to think about when you decide to lose weight. The truth is that if you think your diet is fine, then you probably can’t understand why you are needing to lose weight. Losing weight is hard, there will be good and bad days, but you just need to keep on trucking along and one day you will get there.

There are many kinds of dieters out there. Yo-yo dieting is one of them. This is where you lose and gain weight, often gaining more each time. Yo-yo dieting takes a toll on your body, it places significant stress on your heart and organs and years of yo-yo dieting will actually hinder your weight loss efforts.

Low fat diets are one of many different types of diets out there. Supermarkets sell stuff marked as low fat, but they are usually riddled with hidden calories. This gives us the impression that we can eat more of this type of food, and we will end up bigger. Low carbs is another type of diet people try. It usually has good results to start with, only because we are cutting alot out of our diets. Low carb diets are hard to maintain and often will lead to us putting the weight back on.

Getting your metabolism working better is the best way to ensure long term success. Eating 5-6 smaller meals will keep our metabolism working much faster. Food is 80% of the battle when trying to lose weight and 20% of it is exercise. Most people get enough exercise, its just what we are eating that is keeping us fat.
