Treatment for Hemroids – Myths

There are many different myths circulating in the general public about Hemroids. These myths involve everything from what causes Piles to hemorrhoid symptoms to hemorrhoid natural cures and treatment methods. Let us take look at the most common myths and then uncover the truths that lie beneath.

Myth #1 Piles Gives You Bowel Cancer

Believing this myth is enough to strike fear in any hemorrhoid sufferers heart! But not to worry because it is just that- a myth. Let us distinguish between hemorrhoids and cancer. Hemorrhoids are rectal veins that have become enlarged and inflamed. On the other hand, cancer is brought on by veins that have divided and become unruly (in other words, they have gotten out of control).

There is no way that hemorrhoids can lead to cancer or the development of cancer, and neither do they cause colorectal cancer. Occasionally, an individual who already has colorectal cancer can be more likely to get hemroids because of the pressure that the tumour places onto the rectal veins.

Myth # 2 – Hemorrhoids are an elderly persons health issue

Afraid Not. Age does, however, play a part in the formation of Hemorrhoids, or in the ease with which Hemroids are formed. So getting older does increase your chances of getting Hemroids. However they can strike anyone of almost any age.

Hemorrhoids develop when distended and weak veins in the rectum become bigger and swollen. As a person ages the vein walls of the rectum have a tendency to weaken and that is what increases their susceptibility to hemorrhoid formation.

You should know though that many things can lead to Piles including poor diet (not enough fibber or water) and a sedentary lifestyle. The office environment doesn’t help, as long periods of sitting or inactivity have been positively linked to Piles.

Myth #3 Anal Sex causes Hemorrhoids.

This is a very widely held misconception that anal intercourse can lead to hemroids. It’s simply not true, although anal sex can cause a flare up and irritate haemorrhoids that you may already have!

Myth #4: Hemorrhoids Cures Don’t work.

Again.. not true. There are many natural Piles cures and treatments that are very effective, and there are also several ways that you can relieve the itching and pain that Hemroids cause. Sitz baths can be very effective for relieving swelling, but generally prevention is the best cure, so having more fiber, being more active and drinking more water is often the best cure! If you’re Piles get really bad then surgery can be effective (I’ve had surgery for a haemorrhoid that i had, and it fixed everything. hurt like buggery and took over a week to go down, but it stayed away for good)

Hemorrhoids are almost always uncomfortable and can also be extremely painful. I’ve dealt with the worst of them, and have also had operations, and finally figured out how to deal with them effectively. If you’d like to finally cure your hemorrhoidsthen please go to Hemorrhoids Treatment.
